naive enthusiasm & kudos to Chris K!!

Yesterday morning, during a leisurely brunch with my in-laws, I somehow agreed to attend a Zumba class with my mother-in-law. She seemed quite excited about her new-found exercise program and was quick to recruit my sister-in-law and myself to attend with her this evening "just to try it out". What have I gotten myself into? Normally I am not into aerobics classes. For some reason, I agreed to participate. I guess I had one glass of cava too many. Oh....and my sister-in-law has since opted out.

I hope everyone had a great weekend - one full of good food, good friends, good running and a Superbowl victory in your favour! I want to give a shout-out to a blogger buddy who had a particularly stellar weekend: Chris K who qualified for Boston!

That's right...Boston! Chris has been a major source of running inspiration for me over the past several months. It's hard to believe one would have time to train for a Boston-qualifying marathon, when you spend all your time organizing fashion shows & swim suit calendars and having toga parties, but it can be done! :)

Now, go over to visit Chris at BQ or Die and congratulate him on his accomplishment!

  1. So you are a cheese head huh?

    I'm a sad steelers fan.

This Chris K seems pretty interesting!

  2. Woot to Chris. You have to tell us how the Zumba class goes. I've heard so many great things about it - this just may be another go-to activity for you. It's worth trying anyway.

  3. GO Chris!!! That is quite an accomplishment!
I am going to Zumba tomorrow night , and I am a little skerred!!!
Let me know what you think of it...I have heard great things about it and have heard it is a BLAST!
Thank you for the comment on Jan~ healthy Loser Gal. It was so fun talking with her!
I am loving the radio show... still nervous! But, I am loving it!
    Have a pretty day!

  4. Yay for Chris!
I gave you the stylish blogger award:) Check it out!!

  5. No wonder I got so many comments today. Thanks a ton Rae. Man do I love Canadians :-) You guys are so nice! I am overwhelmed by the support I got this weekend. Crazy. Humbling. I'm just glad it's over so I can concentrate on more immature posts.

  6. Okay he is really popular! I need to start reading his blog 'cause I've seen his name EVERYWHERE lately!

    Congrats, Chris!!
